Santorini: Ducato Di Oia

We finally got around to visiting the beautiful Santorini Island and it was nothing short of breathtaking! I’d been longing to go for a while now ever since seeing the thousands of images plastered on pinterest. We decided to settle in the ever so picturesque village called Oia, which boasts of incredible panoramic views and is well known for their blue dome churches and narrow streets.

We stayed at boutique hotel Ducato Di Oia and upon arrival were greeted by one of their staff, who carried ALL 5 of our suitcases down to the suite, which impressed me (even though I was worried our luggage was too heavy and he would fall :/) and if you’ve seen pictures of Oia you can imagine how many stairways we were about to endure.

We stayed in the Paros Suite, a  2 bedroom suite with a lounge and bathroom but the best part was the view! Step outside and you’re greeted by the pool overlooking the Caldera Bay. I can’t even begin to describe the magnitude of this, so here you go..

Without a doubt the poolside became our go to spot, especially in the evenings where we’d chill out drinking wine, taking in the view with Vanessa Williams playing on repeat!

One of my favourite parts of course was breakfast! This was a continental served with some tasty Greek pastries (you know I sampled everything) and the staff was ever so helpful and always on call whenever you need them. Would go back in a heartbeat!
